Welcome to the show!
Today I’m talking about vocal variety. This is what I spoke about at Podcast Movement and it’s a very important topic, not just for podcasting.
It is your use of vocal variety that compel’s us to take action. Through vocal variety, we learn who you really are yet most people shut it down when they need it most.
Let’s change that!
Want to head into 2019 with a voice that makes people listen? Make sure you look into my Voices of Success 8 week program, last round late August.
Voice Technique for Impacting Your Children and Teens in a Positive Way #135
Welcome to the podcast.
Today I’m doing an episode based off of a suggestion from one of my favorite listeners. Can you talk about how to talk to our teens. Great question!
Since the Psychology of the Voice starts off when we are really young I couldn’t think of a better topic so thank you for the suggestion Stephen. Now, if you aren’t a parent, that’s okay, you’ll still get some great pointer’s on how to speak to people in your professional and personal life.
In today’s episode I’ll be talking about ways you can make a bigger impact with your child/teen and technique that you can do with your voice to get them talking to you.
I think you’ll like the episode and if you have any suggestions on other topics I’d love to hear from you! You can email me at email@example.com
Voice Assessment, What You Think You’re Doing w/ Your Voice vs. What we Hear #133
Welcome to the show!
Today I’ve got something special for you. I’ve got an assessment that will help you evaluate what you are doing with your voice or what you think you are doing with your voice vs. what we are hearing.
Perception vs. Reception, you’ve heard me talk about it well today I’ve got a tool that you can use to assess what you are doing, then send in a recording and I’ll get back to you with what we actually hear.
You can get the assessment here: http://captivatetheroom.com/voice-quiz-sign-up/

How to Sound Professional but Not Like a Jerk Episode #132
Today’s episode is based on a question from a listener but with a little bit of an addition. The listener asked me how do they sound professional without sounding like the B word.
I’m addressing that but I”m also talking about the opposite that I hear from a lot and that is, if I speak with a conversational voice I won’t sound professional.
So, again we have to find the balance and ultimately take down the masks and reveal the real, best version of who you are.
If you struggle to own your power but still be kind and professional and the expert then today’s episode is for you!
Episode #131 Are Vocal Masks Keeping You From the Next Level?
Welcome to the show! Today I’m talking all about vocal masks and barriers.
Do you have vocal masks? Well, you probably do you just may not know it. Many, many people have them, they are put in place by the sub-conscious mind to protect you. But, what ends up happening is they become an obstacle keeping you from getting to the next level.
The emotion behind a vocal mask becomes a vocal barrier and that really keeps people out, repels them, pushes them away.
If you think you might have a vocal mask or want to find out if you do, then you don’t want to miss today’s episode!
